Weight Loss:

The number of over-weight and obese people is increasing at an alarming rate. The obese rate in America is currently at approximately 33% and 15% of children older than the age of 6 are obese. Being over-weight or obese is not only associated with many chronic diseases it also causes many emotional problems as well.

Everyone is guilty of wanting to find a “quick and easy” solution for weight loss. How many times have you seen those commercials with the petite women (in a bikini) and muscular men (with their shirts off) telling you, that if you take this pill, eat this type of food or buy their product, that you too can have a body like theirs?

Have you been to any bookstore lately? There are so many books out there about quick weight loss and fad diets. Most of the information in these books may hinder your health and fitness goals, as well as have negative health consequences.

Bottom line: There is NO EASY SOLUTION and there definitely is NO MAGIC PILL!

*Here’s a simple fact about weight loss: Consume fewer calories than being expended and there will be a reduction in weight*

But you must understand, this doesn’t mean you must starve yourself or just eat salads and bird-size portions. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Eating healthy is all about balance. You want to make sure you are getting the proper ratio amounts of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. And yes, it is ok to have dessert. Just not in large quantities and not every day

All of us have busy schedules. Some of us are forced to eat on the run. Perhaps make a quick run through the drive-thru. There definitely is no shortage of food choices. Everything from fast food chains to sit-down restaurants, there definitely is an abundant of options. We take in all this food (energy), but we don’t do anything to burn through that energy. Our lives have become very sedentary. This deadly combination is causing our waistlines to grow!

Water:
I want to mention here very briefly something about water. On average, every person should be drinking approximately 96ounces of water every single day. It sounds like a lot, but it’s not.

Water is the key element of life. It makes up almost 60% of the human body. A person can only survive a couple of days without water. Here are just some of the benefits of drinking the adequate amount of water:

  • > Improves liver function, increasing the percentage of fat used for energy
  • > Appetite decreases significantly
  • > Improve metabolic functions
  • > Nutrients are distributed throughout the body
  • > Improves body-temperature regulation

If your health and fitness goal is to lose weight, we can help you accomplish that goal. With a properly nutritional diet, combined with a personal integrated training program you will definitely see the results that you have been looking for.

Your personal training program will be based on the system developed by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). This system is termed Optimum Performance Training (OPTtm)

There is no time like the present. Do not wait and put this off until next month or next year. Haven’t you waited long enough? You deserve to be fit. You deserve to be healthy. And most of all, you deserve to be happy
